Vacancy Description

Waverley Families Support Team is a support service, offering intensive support to families in the Borough.

Are you able to fluently read, write and speak both English and Arabic?

Do you also have an ability to translate English and Arabic documents and verbal communication?

This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a forward thinking team, supporting refugee households who may have complex needs and who may require some intensive outreach support and co-ordination of universal services, to help them move forward.

You will be required to manage a small case load of families as part of a multi agency team around the family approach, making visits to families in their homes and assisting them with practical and emotional support. With some previous experience of this type of working, you will understand the holistic approach needed and the importance of Safeguarding Children and Adults.

You will be a team player, IT literate able to keep accurate case records. You will need to advocate on behalf of families and participate in action planning, case management and multi agency meetings. You will receive appropriate training and regular line management and clinical supervision.
